Located in Highlands, North Carolina, (highest town east of the Mississippi River), The Chandler Inn is surrounded by the beauty of the Smokey Mountain Region. We are open year round.

The Inn is located a pleasant five-minute walk to Main Street, Highlands, where it is serenely nestled in trees and nature. Porches with swings and rocking chairs, hanging baskets and plenty of bird feeders create a rustic and relaxing ambiance. Surrounding a brick courtyard, the Inn is composed of three barn-sided, wooden buildings.

Each of our fifteen rooms is individually decorated. Brass headboards, eyelet sheets and comforters, designer wall papers, and custom wainscoting have been used throughout. All have private baths, color television, air conditioning, and your own private entrance. Our fireplace suites are especially cozy and romantic.

Every morning we serve coffee and home-made baked goods. Join other guests in our hospitality room, which offers seating by the fireplace, and tables on the outside deck.

Let us help you enjoy our beautiful Mountains. Our staff will be pleased to arrange golf, tennis, hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, or fishing.

With a coveted three-star rating by AAA, The Chandler Inn bills itself as "A Nice Place for Nice People." We look forward to meeting you and to making your visit an unforgettable and unique experience.
